Level 1
TOEFL score requirement: 450-470
Focus: Improve language and academic skills and test taking strategies
Skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing
Testing: Weekly TOEFL practice exams, Official ITP TOEFL test upon completion of course
Courses: Academic Prep 1 and Test Taking Strategies
Length of Course: 15 weeks (20 hours per week)
Level 2
TOEFL score requirement: 470-500
Focus: Practice real-world, university academic skills
Skills: Reading textbooks, listening to lectures, taking notes, writing essays, giving presentations, participating in group discussions
Testing: Official ITP
Courses: Academic Prep 2 and Skill Building, English 99 (taught by Argosy University -SAL)
Length: 15 weeks, 20 hours per week
Level 3
TOEFL score requirement: 500 or above
Focus: Become an official student at an American University; earn 12 credits toward a Bachelor of Arts, conditional acceptance into Argosy University upon completion of Level 3
Skills: Develop the confidence and skills needed to attend mainstream university classes.
Courses: Interpersonal Effectiveness (PSY180), Negotiating and Conflict Resolution (COM301), Communication, Gender, and Culture (COM450), Popular Culture (HUM102)
Length: 15 weeks, 4 hours per week / per class
